genius club

I want to address the actual life and personality of a person with an extremely high IQ  instead of focusing on the Genius Club movie, which I found very wanting.  We suffer a great deal of persecution and we have to bear it, though not without fighting back.  We grow to be tougher than you can believe and most of us are very cunning for survival’s sake.  I would not wish an IQ above 140 on anyone.  160 to 180 maybe OK.  But anything over 180 is trouble in River City and comes with a whole range of problems, socially, mentally and often physically.   It is a stretch to believe that anyone with our IQs would knowingly be trapped into the the Genius Club unless we wanted to, much less be that near trouble.  Many of us are patriots.  But we aren’t fooled by the jingoist propaganda that poses for it.  Most of us already know the quizzes and most of us have dealt with the questions covered and have come to our own conclusions, not that we always have answers to the pressing questions about “Does God exits?” , “Who am I?”, “If I ruled the world what would I do?” or “What is justice or mercy?”  Fair questions.  But that we would consider them in a heated rush or in idleness, or even under threat- and come up with an answer on que is highly doubtful.  that is only one of the reasons that this movie is entertaining, but not very plausible or beleiveable.  And certainly not worth any reaonable discussion in this manner.  Be that as it may, I enjoyed this little flawed piece of fiction in science.  Chey could have left the ‘Born Again Christian’ overtones out.  OK.  I realize he had to have all the Fundamentalists backing him.  Worries me, though.  (Paul Crouch, Swaggert and all those Daystar guys.).
